SIA now an international brand leader in artificial flowers
SIA is a global benchmark for decorative flowers.
- The name of the company “SIA” is none other than the initials of its founder Sonja Ingegerd Andersson.
The story begins in her kitchen in Sweden: she makes flowers by hand that she cut outs of tissue paper.
We are in 1963, at the heart of the Flower Power movement. The women’s magazine “Femina” publishes her creations and they are an immediate success.
Orders flow into the small house of Lustgarden which is transformed into a workshop where the whole village cuts out, folds and ships by post flowers that open in multicoloured corollas.
Today, SIA is an international brand, with very many sites on the four continents.
SIA is a global leader in decorative flowers, with successful expansion in the lifestyle market : we offer a wide range of vases, candles, candle holders, furniture, tableware, lights, picture frames, decoration accessories and many other gift products.
SIA stands for high-quality and unique accessories enabling final consumers to personalize their interiors and create their home according to their personality and style.
Transferred in 2015 to a group of entrepreneurs, SIA wishes to be faithful to its history and its reputation to bring you the right product at the best price, with a constant concern to improve our contribution to the environment.
We are developing a new range of recyclable packaging, gradually bringing back our production to Europe to decrease the energy footprint and improving the quality of our offering.
Manufacture
All our suppliers undergo a rigorous check on technical, manpower and environmental criteria.
Our products mainly come from the following regions: China, India and European Union (Portugal, Poland, Romania).
The Chinese, and to a lesser extent the Thais, have real know-how in manufacturing decorative flowers. Each product has a particular manufacturing process which is entirely artisanal: the stems are formed in small moulds, the flowers cut out of tissue and treated so that the feel of them is as natural as possible and then hand painted to that each of them is different.
It is this know-how which explains the realism of the result and the tiny details that make each flower a unique item.
